This marinade/sauce is wonderful on almost anything – specifically chicken/turkey – and pasta!
2 tbsp. extra light olive oil (find one with a very mild taste)
1 tbsp. Parisian Bonnes Herbes blend from Penzey’s Spices
3-4 tbsp. honey (depends on the sweetness level you want)
1/8 c. water
Pinch of flake salt
Whisk all of these together and you’re good to go. I try to marinate my meats overnight – but it is also good if you only have a few minutes too. For pasta I might make a little less than listed above and then toss it with the pasta as soon as you drain it. You may want to sprinkle a little extra salt once you’ve tossed it with the pasta.
This is absolutely one of my favorite marinades. Makes sense since it uses my favorite herb blend from Penzey’s Spices. If you do not have one near you – you can order online. Their spices are high quality and affordable. This particular blend is salt free and includes chives, dill weed, French basil, French tarragon, chervil & white pepper.
